This trail belongs to the first collection of Prielbrusye routes that I wanted to share. Among them are Irik, Irikchat, Donguzorun-Kel, Kahiani, Chatkara, and Peak 3433.

I first discovered this trail on my birthday and have run it many times since. It is enjoyable, safe, and technically simple. In good physical shape, it can be run without trekking poles on just a couple of energy bars.

The alpine meadows, mountains, and lakes around Green Hotel leave a memorable impression of purity, serenity, and power.

As a bonus, Mount Elbrus is visible from the Bashkara Lake moraine.

Notes

To access the moraine, you will need to ford the Adyl-Su River. However, there is an option to cross on rocks further ahead.
On the Bashkara Lake moraine, enjoy the views of Jantugan, Bashkara, and Ullukara peaks. You can also descend the trail down to the lake.
The route reaches the border zone – do not cross the blue warning sign.
