This is a classic mountaineering route to Mount Kurmichi (1B category).

It is important to understand that this is an ascent with constant elevation gain, not just a running trail.

The path to the VTsSPS pass follows a clearly visible trail, divided into three rises, and is quite straightforward. However, the section from the pass to the summit is less obvious. It is highly recommended to stay strictly on the ridge and check your GPS track. To give you an idea of the difficulty: I once saw a girl descending this route with her dog. Just remember a simple rule: if it gets too difficult, you've lost the trail. There should be no technical difficulties on the correct line.

This is a great alternative acclimatization route for Elbrus, walked in a single day from the Ochag Hut.
